Ina Garten's new cookbook: Barefoot Contessas How Easy is That.
It was so good I was seriously eating it by the spoonful. I wanted to share it because it is so amazingly good but I also wanted to make sure that I am not infringing on any copyrights by posting it here. I've read up on it and think it is ok if I list the ingredients and basic instructions. I would highly recommend buying this book though. I was treated to another Barefoot Contessa dish this week that was also divine. Ina Garten is extremely gifted and I am inspired to make more tasty meals at home after my two Barefoot Contessa meals this week!
Barefoot Contessa's Buttermilk Ranch
3 scallions white and green parts chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves, lightly packed
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon good olive oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup good mayonnaise
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup buttermilk
Puree scallions, basil. lemons, mustard, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Add mayonnaise, yogurt and buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
